Luxury purchases have traditionally served as status symbols. However, Millennials and Gen Z, who grew up through periods of economic uncertainty and an era of digital saturation, are shifting their spend away from accumulating physical possessions and instead towards experiences. Whilst personalised luxury goods sales experienced a contraction between 2024 and 2025, experiences such as high-end travel, hospitality and fine dining have shown strong growth.
